Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award
Only about 10% of scouts attain the rank of Eagle Scout making it a significant milestone. Those who rise to this level demonstrate personal strength in Leadership, Service and a desire for personal growth. These strengths and values often carry over to their academic, professional, and personal lives.
There are five categories of daunting requirements which must be completed before promotion. These requirements must showcase the Scouts planning development and leadership skills, benefit the community and address safety issues just to name a few.
The Good Citizenship award is designed to recognize the scouts for achieving this difficult task. The presentation reinforces the values and skills learned by becoming an Eagle. It shows them these traits are not only by the Marine Corps League but by corporate and civic organizations across America. The ceremony is usually held in conjunction with the Scouts Court of Honor ceremony.
Participation is voluntary. An Eagle who wishes to receive an award must apply for it. Since we like to present these in person we request 30 days of notice. Please complete the form below and someone from the Marine Corps League will reach out for more information.
